The short version
TenderWorthy uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Below is everything we store on your device or use to measure visits.
What we store and why
| Name / what | Purpose | Type | How long | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session (localStorage, dashboard only) | Keeps you signed in. Holds your session token, its expiry time and your email address. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out | No, it is needed for the dashboard |
| First-touch record (browser storage) | Counts where sign-ups come from: landing page path, referring site, campaign tags, date | Statistics | Until you opt out or clear storage | Yes: the opt-out below stops it and clears it from your browser |
| Plausible: no cookies, nothing stored on your device (Plausible’s statement) | Counts visits on its servers | Statistics | Nothing stored on your device (Plausible’s statement) | Yes: the opt-out below |
Opt-out setting plausible_ignore (localStorage, only if you use the opt-out below) | Remembers that you opted out, so visits are not counted and the first-touch record is not stored | Strictly necessary | Until you clear your browser storage | Yes: clear your browser storage. This also cancels your opt-out. |
Sign-up draft tw-start-v1 (sessionStorage, sign-up page only) | Keeps your answers if you go to Stripe’s payment page and come back | Strictly necessary | Removed when a free sign-up finishes; see the note below the table | Yes: close the tab or clear your browser storage |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (sign-up page only) | Checks you are not a bot by reading browser signals | Strictly necessary (security of the sign-up form) | Only while the sign-up check runs. We do not use Cloudflare’s pre-clearance cookie. | No. Without it you cannot submit the sign-up form. |
| Stripe (checkout only, on Stripe’s site) | Payment and fraud prevention | Set by Stripe under its own policy | Set by Stripe under its own policy | Set by Stripe under its own policy |
The dashboard sets no cookies and does not use sessionStorage.
The sign-up draft in more detail:
- Draft of your answers. As you fill in the sign-up form, all your answers (for example your email address, postcode and, if you choose Pro, your company name, capability statement, insurance levels, turnover and certifications) are saved in your browser’s sessionStorage under
tw-start-v1, so you do not lose them if you go to Stripe’s payment page and come back. The draft is removed when you finish a free sign-up. If you go on to pay, it stays in that tab until you close it. If you come back to the sign-up page more than two hours later, we delete it instead of using it. It stays on your device.
Visit counting
We measure how many people visit each page with Plausible Analytics. Plausible states that it does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and gives us aggregate figures only, with no cross-site tracking and no profile of you. That is the vendor’s description, not our legal conclusion. Each page request still reaches Plausible’s servers, as it does for any script that loads on a page, and Plausible’s servers process your IP address and browser user agent when it does.
We record which buttons are clicked (for example, a sign-up button) and which page the click was on. We do not record who clicked.
How to object or control this
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (regulation 6, as substituted from 5 February 2026 by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), a website needs your consent to store or read information on your device unless an exception applies. Schedule A1 sets out the exceptions, including for storage that is strictly necessary for a service you requested, and for statistical purposes where we give clear information and a simple, free way to object. We rely on the statistical-purposes exception for visit counting and the first-touch record. We use them only to understand how people find and use the site, so that we can improve it. We explain them on this page, and you can object at any time, free, using the opt-out below.
You can turn off visit counting and the first-touch record here. The opt-out stops Plausible counting your visits in this browser, and stops us storing the first-touch record and clears it from this browser. To delete the copy saved with your profile, email hello@tenderworthy.co.uk:
You can also block or delete storage in your browser settings. If you block the dashboard’s storage, you will not be able to stay signed in. If you block the sign-up page’s verification check, you will not be able to submit the sign-up form.
Changes
We will update this page and its date if we change what we store. For how we handle personal data, see the privacy policy. Questions? Contact us.
